Football Game Preview: South Gibson Hornets vs. Jackson North Side Indians + Official Tickets

The South Gibson Hornets are taking a road trip to challenge the Jackson North Side Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. South Gibson is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.

South Gibson gave up the first points on Friday, but they didn't give up any more after. They came out on top against Crockett County by a score of 24-14.

The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Tyshaun Jeter and Dk Woods. Jeter had a solid game and rushed for 71 yards and one TD on only nine carries. Meanwhile, Woods did his best for the losing side, rushing for 72 yards and one touchdown.

South Gibson didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Drey Scott and Jaxon Young. Scott also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with 11.

Meanwhile, Jackson North Side suffered their biggest loss since November 8, 2024 on Friday. They lost 47-21 to Giles County.

South Gibson's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Jackson North Side, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 5-3.

South Gibson couldn't quite get it done against Jackson North Side when the teams last played back in October of 2024 as they fell 41-33. Thankfully for the Hornets, Henry Schiebout (who threw for 352 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 87% of his passes, and also rushed for 73 yards and a pair of scores on only six carries) won't be suiting up this time.
