Recap: Owen Warhorses vs. East Henderson Eagles
The Owen Warhorses's four-game losing streak came to an end on Wednesday. They slipped by East Henderson 36-35. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Owen also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2021.
It was another big night for Ellie Martin, who scored 19 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Owen's points. Another player making a difference was Mia Roland, who scored eight points.
Owen's victory bumped their record up to 2-8. As for East Henderson, they bumped their record down to 4-7 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Owen will face off against Mountain Heritage at 6:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. East Henderson's road trip will continue as they head out to face Hendersonville at 6:30 p.m. on January 3, 2024.
