Basketball Recap: EF Academy Has No Trouble Against Storm King

EF Academy had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 22-point drubbing they dealt Storm King on Wednesday. The EF Academy Falcons blew past the Storm King Cougars 31-9. That 22 point margin sets a new team best for the Falcons this season.

EF Academy found their leader in freshman Ayano Oki, who went 5 for 10 en route to 11 points and five steals. Oki is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Jiatong Ying was another key player, putting up four points and three steals.

EF Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in three consecutive contests.

EF Academy now has a winning record of 3-2.

EF Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Oakwood Friends at 4:00 p.m. on January 29th. Storm King has already played their next matchup (against MacDuffie), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
