Futures had won six straight games and Nikka Vinokurov did her part to make it seven on Saturday. Futures came out on top against Rio Linda by a score of 2-0 thanks in part to Vinokurov, who had 20 digs and three aces. Vinokurov is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season.

Futures easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-13.

Futures' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Olga Vivsik, who had eight digs and two aces. Another player making a difference was Svetlana Blyshchyk, who had nine digs and seven kills.

Futures' victory bumped their record up to 16-2. As for Rio Linda, their defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-11.

Futures has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Foothill on the 11th. As for Rio Linda, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Sacramento on the 11th.
