Softball Recap: St. Henry Comes Up Short

St. Henry was the 6-2 winner over Celina when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Redskins took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs on Monday.

Rya Buschur was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Paige Felver also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

St. Henry has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Celina, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Henry will challenge Ansonia at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Celina, they will face off against Ottawa-Glandorf at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Titans have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season.
