Basketball Game Preview: Mid-Peninsula Dragons vs. Oceana Sharks

The Mid-Peninsula Dragons will take on the Oceana Sharks in a holiday battle at at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Mid-Peninsula is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They enjoyed a cozy 69-52 victory over Apostles Lutheran on Monday. The Dragons pushed the score to 58-34 by the end of the third, a deficit the Falcons cut but never quite recovered from.

Meanwhile, Oceana entered their tilt with East Palo Alto Academy on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They slipped by the Bulldogs 1-0. The one-point effort marked the Sharks' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Oceana's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Mid-Peninsula, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
