Basketball Game Preview: Elizabeth Seton vs. Bishop O'Connell Knights

Elizabeth Seton and Bishop O'Connell are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2017, but not for long. Elizabeth Seton will be playing at home against the Bishop O'Connell Knights at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Friday, Elizabeth Seton strolled past The Academy of the Holy Cross with points to spare, taking the game 70-51. Given Elizabeth Seton's advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked sixth, while The Academy of the Holy Cross is ranked 44th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Bishop O'Connell's game on Saturday was all tied up 31-31 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 59-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of St. John's. The Knights have struggled against the Cadets recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Elizabeth Seton's victory bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Bishop O'Connell, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-7.

Elizabeth Seton didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Bishop O'Connell in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 55-50 win.
