The Central Academy of Technology & Arts Cougars will face off against the Monroe Redhawks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Friday just wasn't the day for Central Academy of Technology & Arts' offense. They came up short against Porter Ridge on Friday, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, Central Academy of Technology & Arts can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 295th, while Porter Ridge are ranked 21st).

Meanwhile, Monroe had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Wolf Pack a 9-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Monroe, who have now won ten matches by four goals or more so far this season.

They hit Parkwood with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Jesus Quizapa-Sanchez (5), Yoseht Lopez (2), Henderson Gonzales, and Jesus Najera.

Monroe's win bumped their record up to 12-6-4. As for Central Academy of Technology & Arts, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-10-2 record this season.
