Softball Recap: Milpitas Gets the Win

Milpitas let Los Altos stack six runs on them in the seventh inning on Thursday but luckily Milpitas prevailed anyway. The Trojans came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 12-9. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Chloe Cabrera, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Dahana Gonzalez, who went 2-for-5 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Milpitas kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. They got six more hits than Los Altos' also-impressive total of 11.

Milpitas' victory bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Los Altos, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-8.

Coincidentally, Milpitas and Los Altos will both be playing Los Gatos the next time they take the field. The Trojans will host the Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Eagles will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
