Creekside scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. The matchup between the Knights and the Winter Park Wildcats didn't end well, with the Knights falling 45-29. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Despite the loss, Creekside still got an impressive performance from Jaxon Earle, who rushed for 48 yards and three TDs.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for Creekside, adding 11 points to the final score. All those points came courtesy of Landon Mendez: he added nine points with three field goals and another two kicking extra points.

Winter Park's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elijah Nickerson, who rushed for 16 yards and one score, and also threw for 66 yards and one touchdown while completing 80% of his passes. Decorie Johnson was another key player, rushing for 89 yards and one TD.

Creekside's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Winter Park, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2.

Coming up, Creekside will head out to face off against Sandalwood at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Knights will be up against the Saints' rather soft defense (which has allowed 41.6 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Winter Park, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Freedom at 7:00 p.m. The game will give the Wildcats their first taste of in-conference action this season.
