Basketball Recap: Andrada Polytechnic Drops Highest Score of Season Against Lourdes Catholic

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. David, Andrada Polytechnic was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They came out on top against the Lourdes Catholic Warriors by a score of 62-52. The Mavericks' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Andrada Polytechnic's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chasen Lewellyn, who went 9-for-12 to rack up 19 points and six rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, Lewellyn now owns an excellent 50% shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Hain-Basurto, who shot 83% from the field en route to 15 points.

Andrada Polytechnic's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Lourdes Catholic, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coincidentally, Andrada Polytechnic and Lourdes Catholic will both be playing Santa Rita the next time they take the court. The Mavericks will host the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Warriors will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
