League recap: Riverside winning streak up to five games

Riverside (13-11, 10-4) has won five games in a row, 1A Four Rivers's longest active win streak. Two of those wins came in the past week, includinga 1-0 victory over Southside.

Behind a 2-0 record over the past week, Riverside made the biggest jump in the national rankings, all the way from 242 to 228.

Southside's pitching was especially stingy this week, allowing 12 hits and four walks to lead the league in both categories. Southside has given up a mere 104 hits on the year in addition to compiling 131 strikeouts. Terrill Moore is the leader in that category with 73 Ks on the season.
