After a string of five wins, Northside's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 2-0 to the Saint Viator Lions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.

Bridget Ward paced Northside's offense, picking up nine kills. Ward got some help from Eloise Hodgkins and her eight assists.

Saint Viator got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Olive Meyers out in front who had three digs and three aces.

Northside's loss dropped their record down to 14-12. As for Saint Viator, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-7 record this season.

Northside didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Palatine on the 17th. As for Saint Viator, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Warren Township on the 17th.
