Basketball Recap: Red Oak Takes a Loss

If Red Oak was riding high fresh off their 69-35 takedown of Preston last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Red Oak Eagles fell 66-54 to the Howe Lions on Tuesday. The Eagles were not able to make up for their loss to the Lions from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Red Oak's record is now 11-4. As for Howe, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-6.

Red Oak and Howe should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings. Red Oak (ranked 95th) will meet Leflore (ranked 420th) at 6:30 p.m. on January 14th. Similarly, Howe will challenge Poteau at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday up 340 places (78 vs. 418).
