Soccer Recap: Wheatmore Takes a Loss

Wheatmore lost against Uwharrie Charter Academy back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Warriors fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 2-1. Wheatmore have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Their goal came courtesy of Natalie Bowman, who's now up to 48 this season.

Wheatmore's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Uwharrie Charter Academy, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 14-3.

Looking ahead, Wheatmore will face off against Providence Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Wheatmore's defense better be ready for this one: Providence Grove have averaged an impressive 5.1 goals per game this season. As for Uwharrie Charter Academy, they will square off against Southwestern Randolph at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Uwharrie Charter Academy will be up against Southwestern Randolph's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.2 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
