They lost to North Phoenix Preparatory Academy on the road by a decisive 43-27 margin. Desert Heights Prep was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as North Phoenix Preparatory Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
When it comes to explaining why Desert Heights Prep lost, one person who can't be blamed is Darron Flores. Despite the final result, he scored 12 points along with six rebounds. The game was Flores' third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Hamza Nuristani, who scored four points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Desert Heights Prep's loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-3. As for North Phoenix Preparatory Academy, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing North Valley Christian Academy the next time they take the court. North Phoenix Preparatory Academy will head out to face North Valley Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Desert Heights Prep will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
