Basketball Recap: New Fairfield Comes Up Short

On Thursday, the New Fairfield Rebels came up short against the Notre Dame Green Knights and fell 48-35. The game marked the Rebels' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

New Fairfield has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-6 record this season. The win (which was Notre Dame's 11th in a row) raised their record to 19-2.

New Fairfield didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 48-35 loss against Notre Dame Prep on the 21st. As for Notre Dame, they will be playing at home against Hamden at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hamden knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Notre Dame likes a good challenge.
