Softball Recap: Skyline Gets the Win

Skyline won the last time they faced Century and things went their way on Saturday too. The Grizzlies came out on top against the Diamondbacks by a score of 6-3.

Caydence Holden spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits.

On the hitting side, Maggie Young was excellent, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two doubles and one run. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April of 2024. Kamree Christensen was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Skyline's record is now 10-5-1. As for Century, they dropped their record down to 8-10 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Coincidentally, Skyline and Century will both be playing Hillcrest the next time they take the field. The Diamondbacks will head out to face the Knights at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Grizzlies will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
