Lowellville had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 26-point drubbing they dealt Waterloo on Friday. The Rockets put the hurt on the Vikings with a sharp 40-14 win. The victory continues a trend for the Rockets in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won six in a row.

Lowellville was led to victory by Ricky Willrich and Daniel Huff. Willrich threw for 141 yards and four TDs while completing 76.9% of his passes, while Huff rushed for 83 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries. What's more, Willrich racked up 118.9 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October of 2024.

Lowellville's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Waterloo's QB won't forget Landen Tych anytime soon given he sacked him twice. Tych is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least six every time he's taken the field this season.

Lowellville's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Waterloo, their loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lowellville will host Springfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers' defense has only allowed 11.1 points per game this season, so the Rockets' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Waterloo, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Memorial at 7:00 p.m. The Vikings will be up against the Red Devils' rather soft defense (which has allowed 30.56 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
