Basketball Recap: Sussex Central Comes Up Short

Sussex Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 30-25 heartbreaker at the hands of the Milford Buccaneers. The Golden Knights were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Buccaneers earlier this season, when they won 38-36.

Sussex Central's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Milford, the victory snapped their losing streak at seven games and leaves them with a 2-7 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sussex Central has already played their next contest (against Delmarva Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Milford will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Lake Forest at 5:15 p.m. Considering Milford has lost four straight at home and Lake Forest four straight on the road , this one might come down to who's more desperate to change their momentum.
