Tug Valley won the last time they faced Sherman and things went their way on Friday too. The Panthers simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Tide 51-16. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Panthers just coasted through the last quarter.

Sherman's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chase Southern, who picked up 101 receiving yards and one touchdown. Southern's longest reception was for an incredible 96 yards.

The win got Tug Valley back to even at 1-1. As for Sherman, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tug Valley will welcome Logan at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Sherman, they will challenge Pocahontas County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
