Evergreen gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They really took it to the Jefferson Wildcats for the full four quarters, racking up a 41-7 win. With the Vikings ahead 21-0 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Bryce Bolger had a dynamite game, rushing for 95 yards and three TDs on only 12 carries, while also throwing for 67 yards and one touchdown. Those three rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Austin Gillen was another key player, rushing for 99 yards and one score on only 14 carries.
