Basketball Preview: Frisco Raccoons vs. Reedy Lions

Frisco has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Reedy Lions at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Frisco beat the Wolverines 53-42. Given Frisco's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 257th, while the Wolverines are ranked 623rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Reedy was able to grind out a solid win over the Mustangs on Friday, taking the game 59-51. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Reedy.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Reedy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Rylen Mitro, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jackson Langford, who scored 16 points.

Frisco is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-13 record this season. As for Reedy, their victory bumped their record up to 12-17.

Frisco was able to grind out a solid win over the Lions in their previous matchup back in January, winning 68-55. The rematch might be a little tougher for Frisco since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
