Auburndale won the last time they faced Edgar and things went their way on Thursday too. The Apaches blew past the Wildcats 9-2. The Apaches might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by six runs or more this season.

Auburndale has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.1 runs over those games. As for Edgar, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-11.

Auburndale and Edgar should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Wisconsin Rankings. The Apaches will challenge Athens at 4:45 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (54 vs. 302). The timing is sure in Auburndale's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while the Bluejays have been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
