Basketball Recap: Clare's Win Ends Three-Game Losing Streak at Home

Clare hadn't done well against Meridian recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Clare Pioneers walked away with a 40-32 win over the Meridian Mustangs. This was a revenge game for the Pioneers: when they faced off against the Mustangs back in December of 2024, they had to take a 36-29 defeat.

Clare's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-9. As for Meridian, they now also have a losing record at 8-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clare will welcome Bullock Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bullock Creek has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 181 points over their last three matchups. As for Meridian, they will face off against Pinconning at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
