Softball Game Preview: Jefferson Wildcats vs. Marion Local Flyers

The Jefferson Wildcats will square off against the Marion Local Flyers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Marion Local took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Jefferson, who comes in off a win.

On Thursday, Jefferson made easy work of Columbus Grove and carried off an 11-1 win. Considering the Wildcats have won six contests by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Marion Local didn't have quite enough to beat Fort Recovery on Thursday and fell 3-2. The loss continues a trend for the Flyers in their meetings with the Indians: they've now lost three in a row.

Jefferson pushed their record up to 7-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Marion Local, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.
