Basketball Recap: Fort Meade Find Success

There's no place like home for Fort Meade, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They slipped by the Four Corners Coyotes 52-51 on Friday.

Four Corners' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Danielys Pena Ponce, who posted 20 points along with five boards and four steals. Pena Ponce's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Mia Villanueva was another key player, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 14 steals.

Fort Meade's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Four Corners, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.
