Volleyball Recap: Asher Hudson and Lydia Cole-Tinkham Secure Win for Stillwater Christian

Stillwater Christian waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Hot Springs Savage Heat. That's more bragging rights for the Cougars, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Stillwater Christian walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the fourth set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 17-25, 26-24, 25-15.

Stillwater Christian was led to victory by Lydia Cole-Tinkham and Asher Hudson. Cole-Tinkham had eight digs and three aces, while Hudson had seven aces, six digs, and four blocks. Those seven aces gave Hudson a new career-high. Katherine Paolini also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Stillwater Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Stillwater Christian's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Hot Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.

Looking ahead, Stillwater Christian will venture away from home to challenge Lincoln County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hot Springs, they will host Granite at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
