Soccer Recap: Lutheran Takes a Loss

Lutheran was the 3-0 winner over Springfield Southeast when they last played one another back in March of 2018, but their luck changed this time around. Lutheran came up short against Springfield Southeast on Saturday, falling 9-0. Lutheran's defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Springfield Southeast, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Coming up, Lutheran is taking a road trip to challenge Pleasant Plains/New Berlin at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Springfield Southeast, they will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Riverton/Tri-City at 5:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Springfield Southeast has three straight victories, Riverton/Tri-City has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.
