Recap: GEO Next Generation Eagles vs. Union Rockets
After losing to the Union Rockets the last time they met, the GEO Next Generation Eagles decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. GEO Next Generation walked away with a 50-43 victory over Union on Tuesday.
Antonio Wilson Jr. was his usual excellent self, scoring 13 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of GEO Next Generation's points. Isiah Jimison was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Despite the loss, Union saw an underclassman step up: Lamar Schwartz scored 32 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The matchup was Schwartz's third in a row with at least ten points.
GEO Next Generation's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Union, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
GEO Next Generation will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Living Water Homeschool at 6:15 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
