Softball Recap: Snook Christian Academy's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against South Choctaw Academy, Snook Christian Academy was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 9-6 victory over the Wilcox Academy Wildcats. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Eagles as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Savannah Clayton made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over 4.2 innings pitched. Clayton was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lilly Lovin, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Hayes, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Snook Christian Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Snook Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-12. As for Wilcox Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Wildcats beat Snook Christian Academy by a score of 14-13 later that day.
