Basketball Recap: Herron Achaeans vs. KIPP Legacy Lions
After flying high against Victory College Prep last Tuesday, Herron came back down to earth. The Herron Achaeans came up short against the KIPP Legacy Lions on Monday, falling 66-41. The Achaeans haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Despite the loss, Herron still got an impressive performance from Cj Stephens, who posted eight points along with six rebounds and five assists. Stephens is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in each of the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Josiah Clarke, who put up nine points.
KIPP Legacy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nick Mapp, who went 8-for-12 en route to 21 points and four steals. Shalon Robinson was another key player, going 7-for-12 to rack up 17 points in addition to eight assists and six steals.
Herron's loss dropped their record down to 3-21. As for KIPP Legacy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-7.
Looking ahead, Herron will square off against Indianapolis Scecina Memorial at 7:30 p.m. on February 26th. As for KIPP Legacy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 74-40 win against Victory College Prep on the 20th.
