Baseball Recap: Douglas County Comes Up Short

Douglas County and Pine Creek squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Douglas County had to settle for second. They fell 11-7 to the Eagles.

Douglas County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Spensor Sharp, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Another was Jordan Blatter, who went 3-for-4 with two runs.

Douglas County's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Pine Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season.

Douglas County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pine Creek, they have already played their next matchup, a 15-1 defeat against Castle View on the 17th.
