Basketball Recap: Churchill Comes Up Short

Churchill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were dealt a 76-25 loss at the hands of the Springfield Millers. While losing is never fun, the Lancers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 247th, while the Millers are ranked 42nd).

Churchill's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Springfield, their win bumped their record up to 8-5.

Churchill will face off against Ridgeview at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Ridgeview will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Churchill surely won't give up without a fight. As for Springfield, they will square off against Eagle Point at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
