Soccer Recap: Chelsea Academy Falls to Eastern Mennonite in First Game of Season

Chelsea Academy had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Eastern Mennonite Flames by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. Maire McCarthy is probably feeling rather frustrated with she team right now: they lost despite she posting 90 goals.

The victory made it two in a row for Eastern Mennonite and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Chelsea Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Evergreen Christian at 4:00 p.m. on March 31st. Eastern Mennonite will also get a bit of a break before their next match: they'll face off against North Cross at 5:00 p.m. on March 25th. This will be Eastern Mennonite's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
