Basketball Recap: Manhattan Center for Science & Math Comes Up Short

Manhattan Center for Science & Math lost against Summit Academy back in January of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Manhattan Center for Science & Math Rams were outmatched by the Summit Academy Eagles and fell 68-20. The game marked the Rams' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Summit Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Alana Rivers out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 28 points and nine boards. Rivers is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Amerie Santana, who almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine rebounds.

This is the second loss in a row for Manhattan Center for Science & Math and nudges their season record down to 3-3. As for Summit Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-5.

Manhattan Center for Science & Math will head out to face off against Environmental on Saturday. Manhattan Center for Science & Math is facing Environmental at the right time seeing as Environmental is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Summit Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 73-25 victory against Martin on the 29th.
