Basketball Game Preview: Wawasee Warriors vs. Columbia City Eagles

Wawasee hasn't had much luck against Columbia City recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Wawasee Warriors will welcome the Columbia City Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Saturday, Wawasee ended up a good deal behind NorthWood and lost 42-26.

The losing side was boosted by Mackenzie Hackleman, who posted 14 points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Columbia City faced Bellmont in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Columbia City fell 53-41 to Bellmont. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Columbia City's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 14-4. As for Wawasee, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-5.
