Football Recap: Paetow Takes a Tough Playoff Loss + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Paetow can now relate to. They took a 36-21 bruising from the Strake Jesuit Fighting Crusaders on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 606th, while the Fighting Crusaders are ranked 301st).

When it comes to explaining why Paetow lost, don't look at Jovan Rodriguez. Despite the final result, he rushed for 140 yards and one score. Rodriguez's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 103 rushing yards.

John Hebert had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 384 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.0 yards per carry for Strake Jesuit.

This is the second loss in a row for Paetow and nudges their season record down to 5-6. As for Strake Jesuit, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

Paetow does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Strake Jesuit, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 50-35 win against Lamar on the 21st.
