After both having extra time off, the Jackson Center Tigers and the Mississinawa Valley Blackhawks will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Jackson Center turned things around against Fairlawn on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Jets by a score of 3-1.
Jackson Center walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). The final score came out to 25-22, 23-25, 25-14, 25-16.

Laynee Shields was the offensive standout of the contest as she had five digs and two aces. What's more, she racked up 20 assists, the most she's had since back in August. Haidyn Bensman also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.
Meanwhile, Mississinawa Valley sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Houston on Wednesday. The Blackhawks haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Mississinawa Valley had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 23-25, 25-16, 25-20, 15-10.
Jackson Center better keep an eye on Ava Hummel. She was instrumental in Mississinawa Valley's win, getting 18 digs.
Mississinawa Valley was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in nine consecutive matchups.
