Football Game Preview: Sacopee Valley vs. Freeport

On Friday Freeport will take on Sacopee Valley at 7:00 PM. Freeport don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.

Last Saturday, Freeport had a bit more than a touchdown to spare in a 20-6 win over Old Orchard Beach.

Meanwhile, there's no need to mince words: Sacopee Valley lost to Lake Region, and they lost bad. The score wound up at 6-68. The state rankings had actually given Sacopee Valley a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.

Freeport's victory lifted them to 7-1 while Sacopee Valley's loss dropped them down to 1-6. We'll find out if Freeport can add another positive mark to their record or if Sacopee Valley can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Freeport's step.
