Volleyball Recap: Manual Comes Up Short

Manual lost to KIPP Denver Collegiate back in March and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Thunderbolts came up short against the Tigers, falling 3-0. The Thunderbolts have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-19, 25-14.

KIPP Denver Collegiate's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alexis Rodriguez led the charge by getting nine digs and two aces. Those nine digs gave Rodriguez a new career-high. Lover Ham was another key player, getting seven aces and six digs.

Manual's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for KIPP Denver Collegiate, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Manual has already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Lincoln on the 28th. As for KIPP Denver Collegiate, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Arrupe Jesuit on the 25th.
