Basketball Recap: Grapevine's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Grapevine came into Tuesday's contest having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Colleyville Heritage Panthers 41-38. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 40-36 back in December of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Colleyville Heritage lost on Tuesday, don't look at Samari Stevenson. Despite the final result, she posted 14 points and six rebounds. That was a full 36.8% of Colleyville Heritage's points, marking the eighth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Payne, who put up four points and five rebounds.

Grapevine's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-16. As for Colleyville Heritage, they dropped their record down to 4-17 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight at home.
