Softball Recap: Grant Takes a Loss

Grant extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 12 on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 0-9 in the process. They lost 32-0 to the Reseda Regents. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Regents this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 26-3 back in March.

As for Reseda, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-6. That 32 run margin sets a new team best for them this season.

For Reseda's part, Fuentes Thereze was incredible, getting on base in five of her eight plate appearances with one home run, five RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI Thereze has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Iris Salamanca, who got on base in four of her seven plate appearances with one home run and three RBI.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Grant is set to challenge their familiar foe Sylmar at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Reseda will square off against rival Van Nuys at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
