Volleyball Recap: Coldwater Extends Winning Streak to Three

Coldwater had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Harper Creek Beavers. This was a revenge game for the Cardinals: when they faced off against the Beavers on October 8th, they had to take a 3-2 loss.

Coldwater's offense was headlined by Aubrey Gebbink and Marie Powers, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Brooklyn Closson and her 18 assists. Powers was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Coldwater's win bumped their record up to 19-16-4. As for Harper Creek, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 28-18 record.

Coldwater has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Hastings on the 25th. As for Harper Creek, they will welcome Tecumseh at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
