Palm Beach Central is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Park Vista is on a six-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Broncos will host the Cobras at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Palm Beach Central 3.4, Park Vista 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
On Thursday, Palm Beach Central narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Boca Raton 4-3. That's two games straight that the Broncos have won by just one run.

Charlie Houd spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on six hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Palm Beach Central let Zach Pollock and Andres Lopes run wild. Pollock scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Lopes scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Park Vista). Everything went their way against Boca Raton on Tuesday as they made off with a 21-7 win. The result was nothing new for the Cobras, who have now won eight contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Cody Wexler looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
At the plate, Will Bavaro and Anthony Espinoza did most of the damage at the plate: Bavaro went 3-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI, while Espinoza scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. What's more, Espinoza posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in February. Another player making a difference was Cooper Ellis, who scored three runs while going 3-for-3.
Park Vista kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Palm Beach Central is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Park Vista, their win bumped their record up to 16-4.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Palm Beach Central has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Park Vista struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.5 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Palm Beach Central couldn't quite get it done against Park Vista when the teams last played back in February as they fell 10-5. Will the Broncos have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other baseball content.
