Agua Dulce came tearing into Tuesday's game with ten straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 35.2 points) and they left with even more momentum. They enjoyed a cozy 57-39 victory over the La Villa Cardinals. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 61-11 back in January.

Agua Dulce got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Avery Calvez out in front who went 8 for 16 on her way to 16 points and four steals. Calvez has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. Celest Garza was another key player, putting up six points along with nine steals and seven rebounds.

Agua Dulce smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in 13 consecutive contests.

Despite the loss, La Villa saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Deziree Rivera posted 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nylah Patterson, who earned seven points.

Agua Dulce's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 22-4. As for La Villa, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-14 record this season.

Agua Dulce has already played their next game, a 50-37 win against Freer on the 31st. As for La Villa, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 42-25 victory against Premont on the 31st.
