New Trier entered their tilt with Mundelein on Friday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Mustangs. The Trevians have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mustangs, too.

New Trier easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-16.

New Trier's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Mundelein, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.

Coming up, New Trier will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Hampshire at 9:00 a.m. As for Mundelein, their road trip will continue as they head out to face Lane Tech at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
