Basketball Recap: Chase Takes a Loss

Chase was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 29th straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 55-22 defeat at the hands of the Reno County HomeSchool Sabres.

Despite the loss, Chase saw an underclassman step up: freshman Malik Carson posted ten points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. Those three steals set a new season-high mark for Carson. Carlos Rincon also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Chase's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Reno County HomeSchool, their victory bumped their record up to 5-10.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Fairfield the next time they take the court. Reno County HomeSchool will head out to face Fairfield at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Chase will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
