Basketball Recap: Peabody Takes a Loss

Peabody was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost to the Gibson County Pioneers on the road by a 59-45 margin. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Pioneers this season, with their most recent loss being a 62-47 defeat last Tuesday.

Sani'A Reaves continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Gibson County, putting up 19 points. Another player making a difference was Jazmin Bailey, who posted 11 points.

Peabody's loss dropped their record down to 3-20. As for Gibson County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 22-8.

Peabody does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Gibson County, they will square off against Westview at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Westview will roll in looking for their 21st straight win, something Gibson County surely won't give up without a fight.
