Soccer Game Preview: Munster vs. Crown Point

Munster is 1-8-1 against Crown Point since September of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Mustangs will face off against the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Crown Point better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Munster's game on Tuesday is any indication, that's when Munster really gets things going. The Mustangs never let Hanover Central get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for Munster in their matchups with Hanover Central: they've now won four in a row.

Maya Maldonado and Ashley Kim scored all three of Munster's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 19 goals.

Meanwhile, Crown Point got the win against Merrillville on Tuesday by a conclusive 10-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Crown Point's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana soccer rankings (they are ranked ninth, while Merrillville are ranked 232nd).

Crown Point's victory bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Munster, their win bumped their record up to 8-5-3.
